Hands on with the Wowee One Portable Speaker
While I was at CES 2011, I stopped by the WOWee ONE booth and was shown the particular unit firsthand.
The WOWee ONE is not related to Wowwee, a company made famous for all sorts of nifty robot toys, but the company with the single w “WOWee” are makers of a speaker for iPod, iPad, MP3, MP4, and anything else with a headphone jack.
Oxygen Audio O’Car and O’Dock
Own a pretty sweet ride, but do not really know how to make it sweeter? Why, kitting it out with the proper audio equipment, that’s how! That is what Oxygen Audio has done, rolling out the O’Car and O’Dock at the recently concluded CES in Las Vegas, where it will play nice with the iPhone as the main musical component. This French brand from ADMEA specializes in car audio electronics, which is why you can more or less be sure that the O’Car and O’Dock will not shortchange you in any way where your ears are concerned, and at a price point which will be agreeable to your pockets as well – now how about that?
iWatchz introduces new Carbon Collection
Since the new Pod nano was released, there is a slew of third party accessory manufacturers out there who decided to come up with a watch strap category to slot the nano in, and iWatchz is no different although they back up their substance with style, and the new Carbon Collection echoes this sentiment. Boasting a matte-black aluminum nanoclipz system and a carbon watchband accented with coloured stitching that are available in half a dozen colors, the Carbon Collection will hit the market early next month for $49.95 a pop at Apple Stores nationwide, Apple.com and www.iwatchz.com. Also arriving early next month, the Jelly Collection will retail for a much more affordable $24.95. Which direction do you want to take your iPod nano to?
Satarii Star has its eye on you
Do you use your iPhone often for Facetime? Well, if you’re one of the select few who does so, then you might want to check out what the Satarii Star is capable of doing. This unique device will definitely need your iPhone to remain docked within, where it can swivel around to track your movement. To make things more flexible, it allows you to dock your iPhone in either portrait or landscape mode, literally allowing you to position it where you want it. As for the second part of this setup, it comprises of a small tracking device that allows you to clip onto the subject. The tracking device will communicate with the base within a 25 foot radius, where the base can rotate up to 180 degress, aiming at the tracker always. No idea on when it will be released commercially and for how much, since this is still part of an in-development project from a team of California-based designers.
